Moving & Transport from Spain to Germany

Mallorca & mainland — weekly trips with our own depot
AMÖ-certifiedOwn depot MallorcaSince 1991

Every week, our trucks travel between Spain and Germany. With our own depot in Llucmajor on Mallorca and fixed routes across the mainland, we handle moves and transports of all sizes — from entire households to individual boxes.

We’ve been driving this route since 1991. Whether you live on Mallorca, the Costa del Sol or in Barcelona — we pick up and deliver to your new address in Germany.

Moving back to Germany? We handle it.

Perhaps it was a job that brought you to Spain. Perhaps the sunshine, family, or simply curiosity. And now it’s time to go back. The reasons are as varied as the places our clients have lived — Mallorca, Barcelona, Marbella, the Costa Blanca.

We’ve been driving this route for over 30 years, in both directions. Many clients we know from their original move reach out again years later. One thing always stays the same: the return journey should go just as smoothly as the way there.

That’s our job. Whether Mallorca or the mainland, a full household move or just a few pieces of furniture — we organise the transport with the same care.

Pickup across Spain — Mallorca and mainland

Mallorca

Our depot in Llucmajor is the hub for all moves from Mallorca. We pick up across the entire island: Palma, Sóller, Alcúdia, Manacor, Santanyí, Pollença — and everywhere in between.

At the depot, we pack, consolidate and store as needed. From there, everything goes by ferry from Palma to Barcelona and onward by truck to Germany. Departures: every week.

Mainland Spain

Along our route, we pick up across the entire mainland: Costa Brava, Barcelona, Valencia, Costa Blanca, Alicante, Murcia and Andalusia — including the Costa del Sol, Málaga and Marbella.

Depending on volume, as a shared load on a regular trip or as a direct transport. Transit times: 2 to 5 days, depending on the region.

Logistics & Route

Our trucks travel the route Spain → France → Germany by road. No sea container needed, no port fees, no customs within the EU.

Main delivery area: southern Baden, Freiburg, Lörrach and Neuenburg. But we deliver throughout Germany.

What you need to take care of in Spain before moving

Besides the move itself, there’s a fair bit of paperwork. Here are the key points:

Cancel your Empadronamiento

Apply for the Baja del Padrón at your Ayuntamiento. Bring your ID and NIE. Some municipalities need a few days — so go early enough.

Deregister your NIE / Residencia

You keep your NIE number for life. The Residencia (Certificado de Registro) needs to be deregistered at the Oficina de Extranjería. And don’t forget the Modelo 030 at the Agencia Tributaria.

Health insurance

Cancel your Spanish insurance, whether private or Seguridad Social. If you start a job in Germany within three months of returning, you can usually get back into the public health system without issues.

Deregister your car (DGT)

Apply for the Baja de vehículo at the DGT. Then re-register in Germany — including the TÜV inspection. Don’t forget your car insurance: sometimes a transfer certificate is required.

Final tax return

You still need to file a Spanish tax return for the year you leave (Modelo 100). Deadline: 30 June of the following year. If you own property or have rental income, a tax advisor is worth it.

Bringing pets

Dogs and cats need an EU pet passport, rabies vaccination and microchip. Within the EU, that’s all you need. For more exotic animals, check with the veterinary office beforehand.

What does a move from Spain to Germany cost?

The price mainly depends on the size of your home and the type of transport. All prices are non-binding estimates including transport insurance.

Individual furniture & boxes

from €350
up to approx. 5 m³ · Part load

Individual pieces, boxes or a small amount that rides along as a part load. Ideal when only a few things need to go to Germany.

Flat

from €1,500
10–25 m³ · Part load or direct

One- to two-room flat. The price varies by transport type and season. Part loads are at the lower end, direct transport at the upper.

House or large flat

from €5,500
30–50 m³ · Direct transport

Complete household of a house or large flat. Direct transport almost always makes sense here, as the volume fills the entire truck.

More than 50 m³ or special requirements? We’ll put together a custom quote. The survey is free.

What happens to things that won't come back to Germany? — partial return & disposal

Most people moving back only take part of their belongings. Getting rid of the rest locally is easier than you might think:

We transport what’s coming along — as a shared or part load. Need interim storage? Use our depot in Llucmajor or our warehouse in Neuenburg.

  • Wallapop and Milanuncios: Spain’s version of eBay classifieds. Furniture, electronics, household items — often sold within a few days.
  • Punto Limpio: Every municipality on Mallorca has a recycling centre. Register bulky waste with the Ayuntamiento beforehand.
  • Donations: Fundació Deixalles (Mallorca) or Emmaus (mainland) collect larger quantities. Well-kept furniture and clothing welcome.
  • Our tip: Sort first, then request a quote. That way you only pay for what really needs to go.
